The foundation
Dextra Versicherungen AG (Dextra Auto) was founded in 2016 as a start-up and spin-off of Dextra Rechtsschutz AG with a share capital of CHF 1 million. Its aim was to establish an insurance company in the car insurance market that digitalises insurance processes as far as possible. Based on modern technological innovations (machine learning and artificial intelligence), the young company aimed to offer the best price/performance ratio, the best customer service and the most comprehensive product on the market.
