Vehicle insurance
You have received your documents for your contract amendment
I have not yet received an invoice
You will receive the invoice and the insurance contract in two separate emails. If sent by post, you should have received the invoice together with the contract.
If your contract start date is in the future, you will receive the invoice:
- for annual, semi-annual or quarterly payments, 40 days before the start of the policy;
- 10 days before the start of the insurance if you pay monthly.
If your policy start date is not in the future and you have still not received an invoice, please contact us at service@simpego.ch or on +41 58 521 11 11.
I have received two invoices
With simpego you get one contract per term – i.e. if there is a change to the contract, the previous term is cancelled and a new term begins. You can recognise this by the different additions to the contract number on the invoice documents.
Each term is billed separately. If you had a credit balance from the previous term, we generally transfer this credit to the new term. The invoice for the latest term already takes this credit into account. If you still have outstanding premium claims from the previous term, these will remain open until you have settled them. Old premium claims cannot be transferred to the new term.
You should have received a statement of account for both the previous and the new term together with the invoices. This shows all movements in your premium account for this term.
If you have received two invoices from us (for the old term and the new term), both invoices must be paid. It is highly likely that you have already received the invoice for the previous term, so please observe the payment deadline.
Where can I find the General Terms and Conditions of Insurance and product information for my contract?
You can find the General Insurance Conditions (T&Cs) and the product information here.
I have received a contract for standstill risk – what is it and why?
Vehicles that no longer have active licence plates (i.e. the licence plates have been deposited with the Road Traffic Licensing Office or you have deregistered a vehicle from the temporary licence plate) still have the risk of being affected by partially comprehensive damage (e.g. hail, theft, etc.). We have therefore issued you with a contract for the immobilisation risk. If you do not want immobilisation risk cover:
- Leased vehicles: if the vehicle is no longer on lease and you have sold or returned it, you are welcome to send us the relevant assignment cancellation. We will then cancel the contract.
- Non-leased vehicles: If you have sold the vehicle or no longer require comprehensive cover for the vehicle for other reasons, you are welcome to let us know at service@simpego.ch or +41 58 521 11 11 and we will cancel the contract.
If you have deposited the licence plates with the Road Traffic Office and you have kept the vehicle, please contact us as soon as you wish to collect the plates again from the Road Traffic Office, we will inform the Road Traffic Office and then send you new contract documents.
If you still have the licence plates and have only excluded one vehicle from the change plate, you will receive 2 new contract documents from us:
- 1 x for the vehicle that is still registered
- 1 x for the deregistered vehicle
Both contracts have their own contract number and you will also receive separate invoices for both contracts.
