Does the multi-person liability insurance also apply to children over 18 who live in the same household?
Multi-person liability insurance applies to all persons living in the same household, regardless of age.
Does it make sense to take out liability insurance per person or for the entire shared flat?
It makes sense to take out one insurance policy per person. If the living situation is planned for the long term, we recommend insurance for the entire shared apartment.
Does the personal liability insurance apply worldwide?
Yes, personal liability insurance is valid worldwide.
Does the supplementary insurance for damage to third-party motor vehicles used also apply abroad?
Simpego covers collision damage to third-party vehicles up to 3.5 t registered in Switzerland that you use free of charge and privately.
Can I only take out private liability insurance without household contents?

The e-Bike (45 KMH) is insured in the personal liability, but excluded in the household.
Does private liability cover the excess from my rental car?
With the additional coverage “assumption of deductibles for rental cars”, deductibles up to CHF 10,000.00 are insured for rented passenger cars up to 3.5t total weight and a maximum rental period of 20 days.
Claim
I have damaged something – where can I report the damage?
Use our claim form and send it via email to claims@simpego.ch or contact us at +41 58 521 11 11. This number is valid for regular damage reports as well as an emergency number for 24h assistance.
Are damages abroad also covered?
The personal liability insurance is valid worldwide.
Cancellation
I am moving abroad, how can I cancel my contract?
You can send us the cancellation confirmation by e-mail to service@simpego.ch, then we will cancel your contract.
We are dissolving our shared flat and no longer need the current insurance – what do we have to do?
Send us a letter of cancellation by e-mail, then we will terminate your contract by expiration.
What period of notice do I have to observe?
With Simpego, you benefit from a notice period of 24 hours per expiration.
